Evaluation of potential risks of neighboring properties to the site.
Review of federal, state, local, and tribal environmental databases for the site and for properties located within specified radii of the site, per the latest ASTM Standards
Review of regulatory agency records for the site and/or off-site properties of potential environmental concern.
Review of municipal and/or county planning files, including building department records, to evaluate current and historical land usage and permits associated with the site.
Interviews with personnel knowledgeable about the history of the site.
Review of chain-of- title documentation for evidence of environmental liens and/or activity and use limitations
(AULs) associated with the site.
Review of background information and physical setting information, such as United States Geological Survey (USGS) topographic maps, geologic maps, groundwater elevation data, and groundwater quality data, to evaluate drainage patterns, topography, and hydrogeologic conditions in the site vicinity.
Request and review of any available Agency records or in-house information.
Preparation of a Phase I ESA report which document the findings of the research activities described above and provide opinions and conclusions regarding Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) at the site.
